Data Engineer (English) - Application Deadline: 28-04-2025

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Remote Work Possibility: Hybrid, 2/3 days per week in the office

Type of Contract: Permanent Contract preferably

Mandatory Languages: English (C2 or Native)

Eligibility: Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for Belgium.

About the Role:  We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures to support data initiatives across the company. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have solid experience with AWS, C#, SQL, and Python.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines.

• Implement data solutions that support business analytics and data science initiatives.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver robust solutions.

• Optimize database performance and implement data quality controls.

• Ensure data security and compliance with internal and external policies.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

Requirements:

• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in a Data Engineering role.

• Strong experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, EMR).

• Solid programming skills in C# and Python.

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases.

• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.

• Good understanding of CI/CD and version control tools (e.g., Git).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data governance tools or frameworks.

• Knowledge of data streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).

• Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure as code.
