Position: Business Architect (CMS Focus) (ENG / NL / FR)
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Remote Work Possibility: Hybrid Setting
Type of Contract: Permanent Contract preferably
Mandatory Languages: English (C1 minimum) - French and Dutch (B2 minimum)
Eligibility: Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for Belgium.
We are looking for a Senior Business Architect to support transformation initiatives within the Customers, Markets, and Systems (CMS) domain of a leading organization. You will be part of a central Strategy and Transformation team, working closely with Business Analysts, Program Managers, and other Architects.
Your Profile:

Master’s degree in Civil/Commercial Engineering or a scientific discipline.

5+ years of experience in business and information architecture.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Solid knowledge of Business Architecture frameworks and Domain Driven Design (DDD).

Understanding of integration patterns, platform technologies, and data ecosystems (e.g., Data Mesh, Data Lakes, DWH).

Proficient in UML, BPMN, and ArchiMate.

Proactive, autonomous, and experienced in leading cross-functional initiatives.

Fluency in French, Dutch, and English is required.
Key Responsibilities:

Define the target Business Architecture for the CMS department, aligning with strategic objectives.

Identify and map out Business Capabilities, contributing to Capability Maps.

Support and further implement the Information Strategy:

Define Data Domains and assign Data Owners.

Develop Conceptual Business Information Models using standardized toolkits.

Determine necessary capabilities to realize the Information Architecture.

Identify business and data products.
-
Lead or contribute to decision-making processes using architecture insights (e.g., capability heatmaps).

Drive the creation and validation of Architecture Blueprints with Domain/Solution Architects and business stakeholders.

Ensure alignment between Business Architecture and related IT & departmental strategies.

Refine and evolve architecture methodologies, frameworks, and tools.

Facilitate and participate in meetings to guide implementation and architecture adoption.

Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends.
